Quality wise, its quite a good item. The steamer comes with digital touchpad and timer, with keep warm function. and it just needs a few minutes to boil the water and to start steaming..It is quite sturdy and compact. Ye lar, dah nama lagi Tefal kan.. hehehe memang puas hati jugak la, except its quite small for a big family - which i dont really mind, since there are only the 2 of us yg nak makan pon kat umah nih... but anyhow, i think i need to buy new mangkoks yg tahan panas dan kecik comel to fit in the steamer.. nak guna mangkoks yg ada cam tak konpiden jer, takut pecah/cracked plak nnti kang [dahla almost all pinggan mangkuk kat umah nih smua tuan umah yg punya] hehe.. kalo boleh nak la mangkoks yg presentable so that i dont need to transfer the food to another pinggan to serve.. [another good reason to shop Royal Doulton la kan.. hehehe :P]
So untuk testing capability steamer nih, harini we decide to cook nasik dagang! hehehe since today is still considered as raya, dan nasi dagang is considered as a must-have delicacy in Teganu during raya, tuh yg tetiba bersemangat berkobar2 utk wat nasik dagang! hehehe Actually my mom dah lama poskan rempah masakan utk gulai dan halba utk diletak dalam nasi dagang. dah dekat setahun jugakla rempah ratus tuh terperuk dalam almari..hehehe So berbekalkan semangat mengidam nasi dagang, nak testing steamer dan jugak nak test power memasak, tuh yg tetiba terajin pulak harini.. the results, more than good lar for a beginner! *wink*

Cari ikan aya/tongkol tak jumpa la pulak. terpaksa opt for ikan kembung jer. sepatutnya nak kena rebus dulu ikan tuh sampai masak dan guna air rebusan utk buat gulai nih. kalau ikutkan my mom's recipe, nak kena rebus ikan tuh for 3-4hours, then biar overnite then keesokkannya baru buat gulai. dan gulai tuh pulak nak kena didihkan selama beberapa jam pulak lagi! tujuannya nak bg ikan tuh betul2 empuk-sampai tahap tulang ikan tuh lembut cam ikan sardin dlm tin tuh!! tp sebab malas punya pasal, me guna cara org malas lar,just buat gulai ikan, tapi guna rempah gulai nasik dagang..lagipon kalo merebus ikan kembung lama2 smpai 3-4jam, sure relai isi ikan tuh nanti!dahla ikan tuh mmg dah kecik, nnti sure tingal tulang jer kot!hehhe apa2 la, janji ada gulai! hehehe :P
so this is our dinner.. bolehlarr nak lepas gian.... :P and actually this is nasik dagang terengganu, bukan kelantan style (yg nasik kaler brown tuh). i just used beras basmati dicampur dengan sikit beras pulut dan distimkan jer,dan after sometime di'arong'/digaul panas2 dgn santan yg dah dimasak dgn halba+halia. dan next time, maybe nak kena cari kepala ikan salmon campak dlm gulai gak, sure lagi sedap..
p/s: tetiba terasa nak makan ikan stim ala nyonya lak..takpon nasik lemak kukus panas2 makan lak ngan paru bersambal dan sambal kerang dimakan di musim winter nih! perghh!!!!!!!!!!!

nak lagi senang guna beras siam wangi.. so tak payah campur dengan beras pulut dan tak payah rendam semalaman (dulu kat sana pernah guna basmathi+pulut tapi result dia tak secantik guna beras siam wangi).. guna ikan mackerel pon sedap jugak...cubalah..

pinkwatch: ha ah,memang ada terbaca gak boleh buat guna beras siam wangi,even ada yg pernah buat guna rice cooker jer. tp beras siam tu agak susah nak jumpa-kena g chinatown. hehehe tu la, rasanya next time kena guna ikan mackerel la pulak. ikan kembung ni rasa dia memang out la..hehe

ya: kekekeke kuah dia memang tak jadi sangat. sebabnya rebus ikan tuh tak cukup lama,dan tak jumpa ikan aya/tongkol.. tapi hentam sajala,drp takde lansung! :P
